THE GUIDES

Captain Jason Shepard

Captain Jason Shepard (Shep)

Captain Jason Shepard (Shep) is a Panama City, FL native who was raised on the pristine waters of the Gulf Coast. Growing up surfing, diving and of course fishing, his love for the water was constant. He loved it so much that he became one of the US Coast Guards Elite Helicopter Rescue Swimmers. With this came the ability to move around throughout the years, giving him time to explore his love for the outdoors and hone his skills and techniques in many environments.

He has been very fortunate to fish and guide in such locations as Florida, Carolina Lowcountry, Southeast Alaska, Northwest Michigan and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cuba, and Belize to name a few. His passion for sight fishing is fueled even more by putting clients on their first fish with a fly. When not guiding, you will find him traveling to new places around the globe to chase fish or behind his Bow looking for game.

Capt. Shepard is a member of several Pro Staff's the IFFF, Project Healing Waters, Florida Guides Association, National Association Of Charter Boat Operators and Captains for Clean Waters.

Captain Kyle Morella

Born in the Palmetto State, Captain Kyle Morella grew up in a family of outdoorsmen where his passion for fishing was bred at a very young age in the streams of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Being fortunate enough to travel to fish places like Oregon, Alaska, Bahamas, and Florida further fueled his passion and led him to the Carolina Lowcountry where sight fishing for redfish on fly became his obsession. This also led him to pick up a camera to begin creating and documenting his experiences. While playing collegiate baseball, Kyle would spend his summers in the Lowcountry, traveling to the Florida Panhandle for tarpon and perfecting his skills with a camera.

After college, Kyle guided in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to the Florida Panhandle. Well experienced in light tackle, Kyle’s obsession is fly fishing. “There is nothing more exciting and rewarding than stalking a fish in shallow water, presenting a fly and seeing the smile on a clients face when they catch that fish!”
