Fly Times Charters offers highly productive guided fly fishing and inshore fishing charters in the Panama City, Florida area.

We guide on the beautiful emerald waters of the Florida Panhandle from Panama City Fl ranging from 30ASanta Rosa BeachPanama City Beach to Mexico Beach, Port St.Joe to Cape San Blas.

We provide all of the necessary fly fishing or inshore gear to ensure a successful day on the water while making memories that last a lifetime.

The Panhandle of Florida is teeming with aquatic life, such as RedfishTroutTarponCobia, Mackerel, and Amberjack to name a few, which makes this area a destination of opportunity for the Fly Fisherman or the Light Tackle Angler.

We also provide instructions to anglers of all ages and experience levels.

*Prices are based on 2 Anglers per Flats Boat

Price includes your state fishing license, fuel, ice, water, tackle, rods, and hand-tied flies. Feel free to bring your gear if you would like. You are responsible for snacks and specialty drinks. Alcohol permitted, but please NO GLASS. Please contact us for any special needs or requests. We are happy to help; however, we can. Fully licensed and insured Captain.

FLORIDA PANHANDLE TARPON FISHING

30A/PANAMA CITY BEACH/PORT ST JOE/CAPE SAN BLAS

Join us from Mid May to Mid August to fish the annual Migration of Tarpon along the Emerald Coast and its pristine waters. Strings of Tarpon pass our sandy shores in water depths of 2-8 feet during these months giving you opportunities to target the Silver King whether you are Fly Fishing or using Conventional Tackle.

Tarpon fishing trips are based on 1 to 2 anglers and are a full day commitment and do require some driving. Our Tarpon trips usually last 7-8 hours with a nice beach break for lunch mid-day giving you some time to cool down in our crystal clear waters and stretch your legs if needed. You are more then welcome to bring your own gear if you choose, but all gear and equipment can be supplied.

*Have a larger group no worries. We have the ability to accommodate that with multiple boats and guides available.

THE GUIDES

Captain Jason Shepard

Captain Jason Shepard (Shep)

Captain Jason Shepard (Shep) is a Panama City, FL native who was raised on the pristine waters of the Gulf Coast. Growing up surfing, diving and of course fishing, his love for the water was constant. He loved it so much that he became one of the US Coast Guards Elite Helicopter Rescue Swimmers. With this came the ability to move around throughout the years, giving him time to explore his love for the outdoors and hone his skills and techniques in many environments.

​He has been very fortunate to fish and guide in such locations as Florida, Carolina Lowcountry, Southeast Alaska, Northwest Michigan and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cuba, and Belize to name a few. His passion for sight fishing is fueled even more by putting clients on their first fish with a fly. When not guiding, you will find him traveling to new places around the globe to chase fish or behind his Bow looking for game.

Capt. Shepard is a member of several Pro Staff's the IFFF, Project Healing Waters, Florida Guides Association, National Association Of Charter Boat Operators and Captains for Clean Waters.

Captain Kyle Morella

Born in the Palmetto State, Captain Kyle Morella grew up in a family of outdoorsmen where his passion for fishing was bred at a very young age in the streams of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Being fortunate enough to travel to fish places like Oregon, Alaska, Bahamas, and Florida further fueled his passion and led him to the Carolina Lowcountry where sight fishing for redfish on fly became his obsession. This also led him to pick up a camera to begin creating and documenting his experiences. While playing collegiate baseball, Kyle would spend his summers in the Lowcountry, traveling to the Florida Panhandle for tarpon and perfecting his skills with a camera.

After college, Kyle guided in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to the Florida Panhandle. Well experienced in light tackle, Kyle’s obsession is fly fishing. “There is nothing more exciting and rewarding than stalking a fish in shallow water, presenting a fly and seeing the smile on a clients face when they catch that fish!”
